Sandusky, Ohio – July 8, 2024 – Payne Nickles & Company CPAs and Business Advisors is proud to announce the promotion of Brennan Otto, CPA, to Partner in Training in recognition of his dedication, hard work, and contributions to the firm. 

Brennan Otto’s journey with Payne Nickles & Company began as an intern during the tax seasons of January 2015 and January 2016, while he was still completing his degree. After graduating from Kent State University in 2016 with a Bachelor’s in Business Accounting, Brennan joined the firm full-time in December 2016. 

In October 2018, Brennan left Payne Nickles & Company to explore opportunities elsewhere. However, recognizing the strong professional environment and growth opportunities at Payne Nickles, he returned to the firm in October 2019. His experience during this period enriched his perspective and expanded his professional expertise. 

Brennan specializes in individual, corporate, and partnership taxation. He also manages client accounting services for small businesses, offering tailored solutions to meet their unique financial needs. Brennan’s role involves a hands-on approach to client service, emphasizing effective communication and reliability, which has earned him a reputation for excellence among his clients. 

In addition to his professional accomplishments, Brennan has been an active member of the community. He has served as the board treasurer of the Humane Society of Erie County since 2018 and previously held the position of board treasurer for the North Coast Young Professionals. These roles highlight his commitment to community service and leadership.

Brennan resides in Huron, Ohio, with his wife and five dogs. Outside of work, he enjoys spending time on their ranch, which includes caring for their chickens and enjoying the tranquility of rural life.
