(Amends Tax Alert dated November 10, 2015)

The Ohio Treasurer of State is now allowing Ohio Pass-Through Entities (PTEs) to make payments via an electronic fund transfer by ACH credit. This option applies to all pass-through entities required to file form IT 1140 or form IT 4708, and all trusts required to file form IT 1041. The option is effective immediately. The entity must use its federal employer identification number (FEIN) in submitting all payments through this system; social security numbers (SSNs) will not be allowed.

Please note, electronic registration is still currently not available for PTEs. All registrations must be completed via paper form, found at http://eft.tos.ohio.gov/DownloadPage.aspx, and submitted to the Electronic Payments Unit of the Treasurer’s Office.
